Embrace Kannada Culture: Explore Upcoming Events at Mayura Kannada Sangha
The Mayura Kannada Sangha, founded in the early 2000s, has grown from a few families to over 30, uniting Kannadigas across Central Iowa. Our mission is to celebrate Kannada culture and foster a strong sense of community.
Our Mission
Our mission is to establish a platform that upholds and advocates for the essence of Kannada identity. Through a variety of cultural, literary, and social initiatives, our goal is to enhance the bonds within our community and ensure the preservation of our rich traditions for generations to come.
Our Programs
We provide an array of programs and services aimed at promoting Karnataka culture and language. These include participation in temple-related activities and celebrations such as Ugadi, Ganesha Chaturthi, and Kannada Rajyotsava in November. Additionally, during the summer months, we gather for various socializing opportunities, sports activities, and picnic events across different forums.
